Quotes/Sayings: Ron Paul

Quotes & Saying by Ron Paul:

A system of capitalism presumes sound money, not fiat money manipulated by a central bank. Capitalism cherishes voluntary contracts and interest rates that are determined by savings, not credit creation by a central bank. - Ron Paul

All initiation of force is a violation of someone else's rights, whether initiated by an individual or the state, for the benefit of an individual or group of individuals, even if it's supposed to be for the benefit of another individual or group of individuals. - Ron Paul

Capitalism should not be condemned, since we haven't had capitalism. - Ron Paul

Cliches about supporting the troops are designed to distract from failed policies, policies promoted by powerful special interests that benefit from war, anything to steer the discussion away from the real reasons the war in Iraq will not end anytime soon. - Ron Paul

Deficits mean future tax increases, pure and simple. Deficit spending should be viewed as a tax on future generations, and politicians who create deficits should be exposed as tax hikers. - Ron Paul

Everyone assumes America must play the leading role in crafting some settlement or compromise between the Israelis and the Palestinians. But Jefferson, Madison, and Washington explicitly warned against involving ourselves in foreign conflicts. - Ron Paul

Having federal officials, whether judges, bureaucrats, or congressmen, impose a new definition of marriage on the people is an act of social engineering profoundly hostile to liberty. - Ron Paul

How did we win the election in the year 2000? We talked about a humble foreign policy: No nation-building; don't police the world. That's conservative, it's Republican, it's pro-American - it follows the founding fathers. And, besides, it follows the Constitution. - Ron Paul

I am absolutely opposed to a national ID card. This is a total contradiction of what a free society is all about. The purpose of government is to protect the secrecy and the privacy of all individuals, not the secrecy of government. We don't need a national ID card. - Ron Paul

I am just absolutely convinced that the best formula for giving us peace and preserving the American way of life is freedom, limited government, and minding our own business overseas. - Ron Paul

I have never met anyone who did not support our troops. Sometimes, however, we hear accusations that someone or some group does not support the men and women serving in our Armed Forces. But this is pure demagoguery, and it is intellectually dishonest. - Ron Paul

In time it will become clear to everyone that support for the policies of pre-emptive war and interventionist nation-building will have much greater significance than the removal of Saddam Hussein itself. - Ron Paul

Justifying conscription to promote the cause of liberty is one of the most bizarre notions ever conceived by man! Forced servitude, with the risk of death and serious injury as a price to live free, makes no sense. - Ron Paul

Legitimate use of violence can only be that which is required in self-defense. - Ron Paul
Our country's founders cherished liberty, not democracy. - Ron Paul

Setting a good example is a far better way to spread ideals than through force of arms. - Ron Paul

The moral and constitutional obligations of our representatives in Washington are to protect our liberty, not coddle the world, precipitating no-win wars, while bringing bankruptcy and economic turmoil to our people. - Ron Paul

The most important element of a free society, where individual rights are held in the highest esteem, is the rejection of the initiation of violence. - Ron Paul

The obligations of our representatives in Washington are to protect our liberty, not coddle the world, precipitating no-win wars, while bringing bankruptcy and economic turmoil to our people. - Ron Paul

Throughout the 20th century, the Republican Party benefited from a non-interventionist foreign policy. Think of how Eisenhower came in to stop the Korean War. Think of how Nixon was elected to stop the mess in Vietnam. - Ron Paul

War is never economically beneficial except for those in position to profit from war expenditures. - Ron Paul

When one gets in bed with government, one must expect the diseases it spreads. - Ron Paul

When the federal government spends more each year than it collects in tax revenues, it has three choices: It can raise taxes, print money, or borrow money. While these actions may benefit politicians, all three options are bad for average Americans. - Ron Paul

You wanna get rid of drug crime in this country? Fine, let's just get rid of all the drug laws. - Ron Paul

Famous Taxes, Money and Politics Quotes: Ron Paul and Barack Obama

Today's Famous Money And Politics Quotes

"...for the loan of $30,000,000 of their own money the people of the United States should be compelled to pay $66,000,000 -- that is what it amounts to, with interest. People who will not turn a shovelful of dirt nor contribute a pound of material will collect more money from the United States than will the people who supply the material and do the work. That is the terrible thing about interest. In all our great bond issues the interest is always greater than the principal. All of the great public works cost more than twice the actual cost, on that account. Under the present system of doing business we simply add 120 to 150 per cent, to the stated cost."
Thomas Edison

Today's Famous Politics Quote

"Single acts of tyranny may be ascribed to the accidental opinion of a day. But a series of oppressions, begun at a distinguished period, and pursued unalterably through every change of ministers (administrations), too plainly proves a deliberate systematic plan of reducing us to slavery."
Thomas Jefferson

Today's Famous Money and Politics Quote

"If the American people ever allow private banks to control the issue of their currency, first by inflation then by deflation, the banks and the corporations that will grow up around them, will deprive the people of all property until their children wake up homeless on the continent their fathers conquered."

Thomas Jefferson

So WHO Declares A Swine Flu (H1N1) Pandemic

It's amazing who much press this is getting. First the virus is Swine Flu now they want to call it H1N1. Let's start with the first issue in the 70's "Swine Flu" was present and coincidentally more people died from the vaccine than the virus. History is extremely important and within reason we can make assumptions on the future. Currently the Parental Consent Act, HR 2218 serves as a model for states and a requirement for the federal government: no parent shall be coerced into allowing the medication of their child if they are not willing to have the child so treated and no federal monies may be used for such screening or treatments. Parents who do not wish to have their children medicated must be protected from child abuse of neglect actions by schools and other agencies. Now slow down and think technology is progressing yet we as a nation are getting sicker. As a drug corporation the obligation as a company to shareholders is to make money. If a cure is found there is no reoccurring revenue hence the reason cures never seem to come about. Upton Sinclair explains it best with this famous quote: "It is DIFFICULT to get a man to understand when his SALARY depends on UPON HIS NOT UNDERSTANDING IT."

We have to ask do they not understand or are they protecting the company and its shareholders. Could you imagine what would happen if everyone knew about a cure for cancer. That would be wonderful for mankind however, bad for business. If you are an objective person with no agenda the answers are not hard to find.

Our bodies are perfect for fighting any and all diseases provided we do one thing. The single most important thing we can do is eat real food. Let's define real food in a day and age were a burger is thought to be food. Real food consists of any consumable items that help and support our bodies natural abilities to prevent and cure sickness. With that being said when foods are genetically modified aka (GMO) we never know as consumers what is happening to the nutritional values of the foods. Hence we never know what effect these foods have had on our bodies. Stop and think we have pesticides for food if it kills bugs what is it slowly doing to our bodies.

Now let’s get back to the “Swine Flu” and pending legislation we need to monitor closely:

HR 2218 - Parental Consent Act
HR 6635 - Genetically Engineered Food Right To Know Act
HR 6636 - The Genetically Engineered Safety Act
HR 6637 - The Genetically Engineered Technology Farmer Protection Act
HR 7120 - Science Free Speech Act
A2933 - To Restrict Free Speech About Nutrition
S324 - Mother's Act
S1941 - To Restrict Free Speech About Nutrition

All of these center around two things food and vaccines and coincidentally we have a global pandemic. Take a look at tuberculosis death numbers compared to Swine Flu and ask why it does not get coverage. When reading these understand that there is not going to be media about this their focus is on Octomom and stories of that nature. Whenever politics gets involved with health there is a problem. If they can not figure out how to balance a budget why focus on our choices of health and nutrition. We all as citizens want a chance at good nutrition and clean drinking water. If you choose to smoke you have a choice, if you choose to eat poorly it is your choice and these bills center around either removing or giving choices. The last thing for older people growing up as a kid do you ever remember so many drug commericals on TV. Grandma use to get the castrol oil or iodine and after tasting or feeling the burn we would be ok.

Supreme Court Why Bother Delaying Sale of Chrysler???

Looking at this chart you have to wonder why the Supreme Court even bothered to hold the sale to Fiat. Based on this chart it appears the US is owned by the rest of the world. And you have to wonder two things:

1) How is this money going to be paid back?
2) What collateral was given to back this debt?

Today's Famous Quote 6/6/09

"What good fortune for governments that the people do not think."
Adolf Hitler

Over 4 million views on You Tube and still going strong

This video has managed to get over 4 million views on You Tube. Makes you wonder what our govnemnt thinks of it. MadTV does an excellent job of getting a serious point across with comedy. What is really ironic is that Apple is not in the red so throwing money at stuff is possible. Any money the US throws at stuff is just digging further into debt.

United States Spending Trend is Not Sustainable

Posted on May 21st, 2008 by PerotCharts

The term tipping point can be applied to a process in which, beyond a certain point, the rate at which the process continues will increase dramatically. The budget of the United States has reached its tipping point. A recent event could have, in fact, marked the point in time. The first Baby Boomer—born January 1, 1946—has applied for early retirement at age 62 and received her first Social Security check. On the chart, an upturn in the Medicare growth rate can be detected in 2011 when the first Baby Boomers turn 65. Thereafter, the number of retirees continues to increase while the number of workers per retiree continues to decrease. The pyramid scheme has collapsed.

Wanda Sykes: Rush Limbaugh was the '20th hijacker'

By POLITICO STAFF | 5/11/09 12:52 PM EDT

Highlights from Wanda Sykes’ stand-up act at Saturday night’s White House Correspondents’ Association Dinner:

“People love you — even the media. You guys have been favorable towards the president. You know, it’s funny to me that they never caught you smoking, but they always catch you with your shirt off.

“Now, I know you’re into this transparency thing, but, uh, I don’t need to see your nipples.

“Is there a beach at Camp David? What the hell?

“You don’t have no nipple portrait of Lincoln.”

***

“This is amazing, the First Black President – I know you’re biracial – but the First Black President! You’re proud to be able to say that – The First Black President. That’s unless you screw up. Then it’s going to be, ‘What’s up with the half-white guy, huh? Who voted for the mulatto, what the hell?’”

***

“You just hang out. I think you hang out too much. What was that, you and Joe Biden out getting a hamburger? The two of you can’t hang out together. I mean, whose idea was that, Nancy Pelosi’s: ‘Hey, Why don’t you boys go out and get a bite?’”

***

“God forbid that Joe Biden falls into the hands of terrorists. God forbid if it’s ever a hostile situation. We’re done. Oh, they won’t even have to torture him. All they have to do is go, ‘How’s it going, Joe?” ….

“’What did you do, did you waterboard him? No, I just said, ‘nice weather,’ and he’s still talking. Can’t listen to him anymore, it’s like torture.’”

***

“What’s up with all these governors not wanting to take the [bailout] money. Who turns down money? Maybe you should give Oprah to give it away. Oprah would say, “OK, governors, look under your seats!”

***

“Gov. Palin, she’s not here tonight, she pulled out at the last minute. Somebody should tell her, that’s not really how you practice abstinence.”

***

“How dare you people give [Michelle Obama] grief about showing her arms. The country’s broke! Sleeves cost money!

“She has beautiful arms. Some of the previous first ladies — they needed the sleeves. Some of them needed the ponchos. [Audience hoots.] I didn’t name any names!

“But you do no need to keep your arms to yourself sometimes. You went over to London, touching the queen. You can’t do that! You’re over there patting the queen on the back like she just slid into home plate. ‘Way to go, Queen!’”

***

"Mr. President . . . you've had your fair share of critics. ... Rush Limbaugh, one of your big critics, boy — Rush Limbaugh said he hopes this administration fails. So you’re saying, ‘I hope America fails.’ You’re like, ‘I don’t care about people losing their homes, their jobs or our soldiers in Iraq.’ He just wants our country to fail.

To me, that’s treason. He’s not saying anything differently than Osama bin Laden is saying. You know you might want to look into this, sir, because I think Rush Limbaugh was the 20th hijacker but he was just so strung out on Oxycontin he missed his flight

“Too much?

“You’re laughing inside, I know you’re laughing.

“Rush Limbaugh — I hope the country fails. I hope his kidneys fail, how about that?

“He needs a waterboarding, that’s what he needs.”
